Clan Help Page

The basics of clans:

A clan is, well a clan. Clans contain one or more characters to and compete with other clans. Any player may create or join a clan if they have enough money for it. You may select one or more of your characters to participate in a clan. Changing which character(s) are participating in the clan can be done once per 24 hours.
  • The cost of creating a clan is $10,000.
  • The cost of joining a clan is $1,000 minimum and goes up slowly as your MPR does.
  • You can't create a clan with an identical name existing already.
  • You can't assign a character with an MPR of 0 to be member of a clan.
  • You can't fire the last minion of a character which is in a clan.
  • You can't join 2 seperate Clans at the same time.
  • There is a limit of 12 players per clan.
  • There is a MPR limit based on the MPR of the top 5 players, how it's calculated is yet unknown.
The clan menu is available from the Places menu. When hovering over the link with your mouse cursor, it should display either of 3 possible lists of the 'Clans' menu as shown below. If not then you can still click the 'Clans' link and get to the menu from there. Each menu entry will be explained in detail:

  • You can set the membership policy which was explained earlier.
  • You can can disband your clan.
A final option you may perform is clicking on a member and then click the 'Tranfer clan ownership to this user' from the member's page. You can easily list the current clan members from the admin page, but you can transfer ownership also from directly inspecting a player who is in your clan.
  • Disbanding your clan will remove all members of the clan and delete it's existence.
  • Disbanding your clan will not refund you the creation entry fee.
  • After disbanding your clan you will have to wait 48 hours to create or join a clan again.

You can compete by fighting other players and gather Clan Points (CPs) when winning against other characters.
  • All fights vs other clan Character earn slightly larger rewards, both of money and experience.
  • Rankings are recorded every hour to determine the clan ranking your clan has.
  • Participants in the best clans get a separate bonus of up to 15% for the #1 clan to ALL fight rewards.
  • Membership in a clan is one way to qualify to vote in the Black Market.
Advantages:
Higher fighting rewards, even more when being in a top clan.

Disadvantages:
Possibly be attacked more often because of clan competition, resulting in possibly a lower score for your character and clan.

Clan points:

When fighting with your clan character you can gain and lose clan points:
  • Winning a battle against a non clan character, your clan gains 2 clan point.
  • Winning a battle against a clan character, your clan gains 4 points and the other clan loses 2 point.
  • Winning a battle against a highly ranked clan character, your clan gains 6 points and the other clan loses 3 points.

  • When losing such a battle, the points are distributed the other way around.
  • Losing against a non clan character doesn't make you lose points.
  • Draws and Stalemates and fights against own clan members result in no clan point gain or loss.

Clan rankings:

The total amount of clan points of determines the raw clan score.
The Clan Score is the net clan score, corrected for the clan MPR cap. this is to prevent the top players from combining strenght and dominating the rankings too easily.
  • If the total MPR in a clan is exactly as is allowed, score equals raw score.
  • If the clan's total MPR is lower than the cap, the Score is higher, but capped at 110% of raw score.
  • If the clan is over the MPR limit, then the Score is lower than the raw score, no cap here.
Every fight changes the current clan score which will determine it's ranking next hour.
Every hour clan scores are calculated and are ranked for bonus gain.clan. Only points earned / lost in the past 24 hours count towards this ranking.

There are additional rankings for players within a clan, most victorious player (MVP) that are logged for 24 hour, 1 week, 1 month and 1 year. These can be viewed from the stats pages.

Clan rewards:

The amount of clans gaining a bonus is 25% of the current amount of clans, for example: when 100 clans are in the game, 25 clans will have a bonus. The #1 clan gains 15% bonus and the other clan bonuses are based on the following formula:

clan bonus formula

In other words: if there are 15 clans gaining a bonus, the bonus goes down in steps of 1%. #2 clan gains 14% bonus, #3 clan gains 13% and so on.

Sunday rest day:

On Sunday's, standard clans don't gain clan points and thus slowly go back to 0 points.
On Monday after cache flush, clan fighting starts over again.
First clan rank update usually is an hour after the cache flush is done.

Economic Clans:

An economic clan (also called econ clan) is very different from a standard clan. In an econ clan you don't make points for fighting but get a revenue based on economical aspects of the game. In other words, every transfer you do, auction you make, rental you put in, loan you give, gets calculated for your clan's revenue.

Advantages:

50% discount on normal fees for permanent transfers to members of the same clan.

Disadvantages:
One week waiting period before transfer discounts apply.
